PRIZES AND AWARDS
November 1998 £31,000 (£25,000 from the UCL Hospitals R & D fund and £6000 from industry) to aid in the study of female urethral sphincter function together with Dr C J Fowler. With this award I purchased an ultrasound machine and probes to enable me to carry out transvaginal ultrasonography in order to measure the volume of the rhabdosphincter in patients as part of the work for my MD thesis.
February 2000 The Urology News Travelling Scholarship to AUA 2000 in Atlanta for the award of the best written article 1999. This was an article on the role of sacral neuromodulation in various types of voiding dysfunction.
August 2002 Royal College of Surgeons of England Ethicon Foundation Travelling Scholarship
November 2002 Royal Society of Medicine Travel Scholarship
These last two awards helped enable me to travel to The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, Australia
